How we worked out the EMI

*Entry EMI is for the cheapest model in each range, with 20% down, at an example rate of 9.5% over 5 years for cars (9% for luxury cars), 12% over 3 years for two-wheelers, 12.5% over 4 years for commercial vehicles, 17% over 3 years for three-wheelers and 12% over 5 years for tractors. Prices are ex-showroom and were checked on 4 October 2026.

  • Get the Key Fact Statement (KFS). RBI requires lenders to give you a KFS before you sign, showing the interest rate, all fees, the annual percentage rate (APR) and the total amount you will repay.
  • Compare the APR, not the headline rate. A low rate with a high processing fee can cost more than a slightly higher rate with no fee.
  • Ask about pre-closure charges. Fixed-rate vehicle loans often carry charges for paying early; floating-rate loans to individuals cannot.
  • Check what is bundled. Insurance, extended warranty or accessories added to the loan raise the amount you pay interest on. You are free to buy insurance elsewhere.
  • Make sure the hypothecation is recorded and later removed. The lender's name is noted on the registration certificate; after the last EMI, collect the NOC and get it removed at the RTO.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a loan for any brand from any bank?

Yes. A brand's own finance company or partner bank is only one option; any bank or NBFC can finance the vehicle if you qualify.

Is brand finance cheaper?

Sometimes, when there is a manufacturer offer, but not always. Compare the APR and total repayable amount with a bank.

Why are prices shown ex-showroom?

Ex-showroom prices are the same across buyers. The on-road price adds registration, insurance and road tax, which vary by state.
