EMI on a BYD car
Worked examples at an example rate of 9.5% a year over 5 years, with 20% paid upfront. Prices are ex-showroom; the on-road price adds registration, insurance and road tax, so your actual loan may be a little higher.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| ₹24.99 lakh (entry) | ₹5 lakh | ₹19.99 lakh | ₹41,987 | ₹5,20,015 |

Who finances BYD cars
We could not confirm a finance company of BYD's own or an official partner list. Dealers arrange loans through banks and NBFCs, and you can also borrow directly from your own bank.
Dealer finance or your own bank? Dealer or brand finance is convenient and sometimes comes with offers, but the rate is not always the lowest. A bank where you already have an account may offer a pre-approved loan. Ask both for the Key Fact Statement and compare the APR and total repayable amount, not just the EMI.
Electric BYD models
BYD sells electric models including Atto 3, eMAX 7, Seal, Sealion 7. Several banks publish a separate green or EV car loan at a lower rate than petrol cars, so ask for the EV rate specifically. Compare the EMI plus charging cost against the EMI plus fuel cost of a petrol or diesel model.

Tips before you finance a BYD
- Banks fund up to 80% to 100% of the on-road price; a 15% to 20% down payment keeps the EMI and interest down and stops you owing more than the car is worth.
- Most car loans are fixed-rate, so check pre-closure charges if you might repay early.
- Keep the car EMI to about 15% to 20% of take-home pay, and all EMIs within 40% to 50%.
- Insurance bought through the dealer can be added to the loan. You can buy it elsewhere if it is cheaper.

Frequently asked questions
What is the EMI on the cheapest BYD?
At about ₹24,99,000 ex-showroom, with 20% down and 9.5% over 5 years, the EMI is about ₹41,987. Your rate and on-road price will change this.
Does BYD have its own finance company?
No captive lender. No captive arm found. You can also borrow from any bank or NBFC.
How much down payment do I need for a BYD?
Many lenders fund 80% to 100% of the on-road price, but a 15% to 20% down payment lowers the EMI and total interest. Check the funding limit with your lender.
Is dealer finance cheaper than a bank loan for a BYD?
Not always. Dealer schemes can be convenient and sometimes discounted, but compare the APR and total repayable amount in the Key Fact Statement with a bank's offer.
Which lender is best for a BYD?
There is no single best lender; it depends on your credit score, income and the model. Public sector banks often publish the lowest starting rates, while NBFCs may approve profiles banks decline.
